Capital Pop-Up Cinema has been bringing the magic of cinema to unexpected places around the Ottawa region for over a decade.  Starting as a backyard movie night with close friends, Capital Pop-Up Cinema was born in the parking lot of the original SuzyQ doughnut shop in the Hintonburg neighbourhood.

Capital Pop-Up Cinema is proud to say that we have partnered with over 20 local businesses to present over 100 free movies to more than 50,000 members of the Ottawa community.

Capital Pop-Up Cinema's founder and owner, Isobel Walker, is a proud member of the neurodiverse community.

At Capital Pop-Up Cinema, we are dedicated to fostering community togetherness by creating shared spaces where people can escape into the world of cinema for an evening.

With the generous support of local businesses, we continue to bring the magic of movies to our community, offering free and accessible entertainment that unites us all under the stars.

At Capital Pop-Up Cinema, our vision is to foster an inclusive and welcoming community where everyone is respected, celebrated, and can enjoy the magic of cinema together.

We are dedicated to creating barrier-free events that provide a safe space for all participants, honoring the diversity of backgrounds, identities, and experiences. By ensuring accessibility, enforcing a robust Code of Conduct, and maintaining trained staff to support our attendees, we strive to provide a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Join us in making Capital Pop-Up Cinema a place where community spirit thrives and everyone feels valued.
